All the specialty tools you’ll need. Both of them.
Two purpose-built kits are the whole specialty-tool list for a Touchstone™ install. The Installation Kit aligns the mounting brackets to the panel tracks; the Cutting Kit trims, scribes, and drills the porcelain.
The Installation Kit contains the essential tools for installing any Touchstone shower or tub surround: a vertical aluminum jig that places the mounting brackets at the correct heights on the studs to align with the panel tracks, and an epoxy applicator gun.
In the kit
One vertical aluminum jig
One epoxy applicator gun for use with a 250ml 10:1 cartridge
Good to know
The jig aligns brackets to the panel tracks — no field measuring for bracket heights
Adjustable from 34″ W to 60″ W, accommodating most standard shower and tub dimensions
Adjustable for tub or shower height using joining plates after field modification
Smaller sizes may be accommodated via field modification
One-time purchase, reused across installations
Assembled in the USA
Cutting Kit
The Cutting Kit is the recommended tooling for trimming, scribing, and modifying Touchstone wall panels, with core bits in the most commonly used sizes.
In the kit
One 5″ porcelain cutting blade
One 3/8″ diameter core bit
One 1-1/4″ diameter core bit
One 3-1/2″ diameter core bit
One small finger bit
One 4″ backer pad
One 4″ dry diamond polishing pad
Good to know
All tooling fits an electric angle grinder with a 5/8″-11 arbor
Variable speed and minimum 13 amps recommended
Angle grinder not included
Additional tooling may be required for more custom installations
The installation guide walks the nine stages of a standard install in sequence, and covers where the jig comes into it — setting it face down, levelling and clamping it to the seam skirt, and resetting it for the return wall.
Tools in hand, training next.
The kits are available through your distributor. Pair them with Factory Training to install Touchstone to the full Pro specification — and to join the installer directory homeowners search.
