Shower wall panels for apartments and multifamily

Multifamily is the same bathroom, hundreds of times over. What matters is how close the hundredth one comes to the first, and what happens years later when a valve behind the wall fails.

The hundredth unit looks like the first

Touchstone™ is real 6mm porcelain on a patented mechanical track. A tiled surround is built in the field, so every unit depends on who is setting it that day.

  • The same kit and sequence in every unit
  • Factory-bonded panels instead of a wall assembled on site
  • No thinset or grout, so nothing waits on cure time
  • A finish that does not ride on which crew showed up

The kit panels arrive dimensional and factory-bonded, so the install is the same sequence in every unit, on every floor.

One valve failure shouldn’t cost a bathroom

Across a portfolio, plumbing behind a shower wall will fail — a mixing valve, a supply line, a diverter. Behind tile that is a demolition job: break the wall out, waterproof it again, set it again, grout it again, and hold the unit off the rent roll while it cures.

Because Touchstonepanels are mechanically attached, the wall comes apart and goes back together. The repair stays a plumbing call, not a demolition job. Multiply that across a portfolio’s worth of units, over years of ownership, and it adds up.

No grout across a whole building

A grout joint is a porous line that stains, needs resealing, and gives mold somewhere to sit. In a single home that is a chore. Across hundreds of units it is a standing maintenance line item and a recurring source of turn work.

Touchstone has no grout joint at all. The surface is non-porous fired porcelain, and the panel system carries the water path itself — no field-built membrane, no grid of joints to maintain for the life of the building.

Specifying it

Multifamily projects route through our distributors.

Touchstone ships Q3 2026. Developers and property teams come in through our factory relationships, and projects route out to the distributor covering that market — with factory-trained installers and a manufacturer-backed warranty behind the kit.

Every kit carries 3 years of commercial coverage out of the box. Installs completed by a Factory Trained Installer to the full Pro spec, and registered within 30 days, carry 15 years. Read the warranty.

Common questions

A full shower surround installs in about a day. The panels mount mechanically to the framing, so nothing has to cure before the next trade can start. The crew sets the schedule, not the drying time.

Yes. The panels are mechanically fastened, not bonded in thinset, so one comes off to reach the wall cavity and goes back on when the repair is done. Behind tile, the same repair means demolishing the wall and rebuilding it.

In metal stud framing, 3/4" plywood or OSB blocking is added between the studs to give the track system a solid anchor point. Additional blocking goes behind that where accessories such as seats and grab bars are planned.

Yes. The panels are factory-bonded and dimensional, so the finished wall doesn't depend on which crew installed it. That's the variable that makes a tiled surround inconsistent from unit to unit.

There is no grout joint, so there is nothing to reseal, and nothing porous to stain at the joint line. Cleaning is a wipe-down of a non-porous porcelain surface.
